Robotic Software EngineerLocation: Berlin Germany | HybridEmployment Type: PermanentStart Date: July 2027Experience: 2–3 yearsThe RoleWe are looking for a talented Robotic Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Germany on a permanent basis.This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of advanced AGV/AMR robotic systems, contributing to autonomous navigation, control, system integration, and the continued evolution of our robotics software platform.Following the departure of a current team member, we are looking for an engineer who can make an immediate impact while helping us take our robotics technology to the next level.What You’ll Be DoingDevelop, test and optimise software modules and packages for AGV/AMR systems, with a focus on autonomous navigation and robot control.Contribute to the transition of the robot software framework to ROS2, helping to ensure compatibility, scalability and maintainability.Support the transition of the Fleet Management System (FMS) to openRMF.Integrate software with robotic hardware, sensors and other communication modules.Develop and maintain supporting web-based software and services using Python frameworks such as Flask, Django or FastAPI.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and software quality processes.Troubleshoot, test and improve existing robotic systems to enhance reliability and performance.Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative solutions for real-world robotic applications.Continuously identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, performance and user experience.What We’re Looking For2–3 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within robotics, automation or autonomous systems.Strong programming skills in C++.Practical experience with ROS2.Understanding of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs/AGVs) and robotic navigation or control systems.Experience integrating software with hardware and communication interfaces.Experience with Python and web frameworks such as Flask, Django or FastAPI.Familiarity with CI/CD practices and software development pipelines.A structured approach to problem-solving, debugging and software development.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environment.A genuine interest in robotics and emerging technologies.Why Join?This is a fantastic opportunity to join a technology-driven team working on real-world autonomous robotics solutions.You’ll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies including ROS2, C++, openRMF and AMR/AGV systems, while playing an important role in the development and optimisation of the company's robotics platform.The role offers a hybrid working model in Germany, combining flexibility with the opportunity to collaborate closely with the wider engineering team..Apply now to find out more about this opportunity.
