Phi Partners is supporting the Front Office “Commando” team for Equity Markets, which works on the trading floor in close proximity to its clients (Trading, Financial Engineering). The team’s role is to deliver high, functional-value-added tools directly to the business.The main tools developed are: financial-product pricing, market-data calibration, PnL explanation and backtesting. Clients are spread across all geographies and the applications are deployed worldwide. Strengths of the mission: daily proximity and iteration with the business (reporting line into Trading, seated on the desk), high-functional-value applications, and interaction with many teams. There is no intermediary business-analysis layer.Role and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:• Supporting the business day-to-day on exploration and prototyping (Python + REST APIs)• Taking business requirements directly from the desk (no intermediary MOA/BA)• Developing the corresponding applications (C# / WPF / Blazor)• Providing support and maintenance of these applications• Ensuring the harmonisation of the tools across the different geographical zonesKey Skills The ideal candidate will have:• A genuine dual competency in financial mathematics and IT / software engineering• Experience with derivatives products, ideally on equities• A strong level in C# / WPF / REST APIs, and proficiency in Python for exploration and prototyping• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working directly on the trading floor• Fluent English; senior experience (9+ years)Next steps If you are interested in this role, please email me your CV at ravija.gunwardana@phipartners.com along with your availability for a call so that we can discuss it further.Sourced from LinkedIn.
