As part of Adevinta, one of Europe's leading online classifieds groups, we're building products that make buying and selling second-hand products simpler, safer and better for everyone.This role sits within our Product & Technology function in our Amsterdam office, home to over 300 talented professionals, where cross-functional teams design, develop and scale the products that millions of users rely on every day across our Benelux marketplaces, Marktplaats and 2dehands/2ememain.As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will join our Infrastructure Engineering team to build,maintain, and scale our cloud infrastructure. The team currently consists of 7 engineers, including a dedicated Infrastructure Architect. In this role, you will play a key part in empowering our engineering organization by delivering reliable infrastructure, seamless deployment pipelines, and robust platform tooling.What You Will DoYou build infrastructure that teams can rely on, resilient, production-ready, and designed for scale. This means owning the full stack from Kubernetes orchestration to deployment pipelines, balancing cloud-native best practices with the practical realities of running and modernising live production environments.Manage, scale, and optimise Kubernetes clusters and container workloads across our environments.Drive our Infrastructure as Code strategy using Terraform and advanced declarative controllers, creating abstractions that reduce cognitive load for product teams.Continuously improve deployment workflows, pipelines, and GitOps practices using tools such as ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.Help manage and optimise database systems, including AWS RDS.Work continuously on infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and cost optimisation.Participate in incident response and the on-call rotation to keep our services running smoothly.Work closely alongside senior engineers and infrastructure architect, receiving direct mentorship to level up your cloud-native skills and accelerate your growth.Who You Are3+ years of experience in a Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role managing complex, production-grade cloud environments.Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals, networking, storage interfaces, and cluster lifecycle management in production, preferably AWS EKS.Practical experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and modern platform abstractions (such as ACK) to manage multi-environment infrastructure.Hands-on experience with GitOps workflows (such as ArgoCD) and building automated CI/CD pipelines (such as GitHub Actions).A production mindset: you understand the responsibility of running live services, prioritise high availability, fault tolerance, and security, and stay calm and focused during incidents.A root-cause thinker who takes pride in leaving systems better than you found them, not just fixing symptoms.Proven track record of picking up new tools, frameworks, and cloud paradigms quickly in a fast-moving environment.Strong communicator with a team-first attitude, comfortable sharing knowledge and working across engineering disciplines.Our Tech StackLanguage: Golang, Python, IaCDatabase: PostgreSQL, MySQL, AuroraDatabricks Cloud: AWS Other tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, ArgoCD, Kafka, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, GitHub,DataDog This role is based out of our Amsterdam office.
