Your focus will be on developing people, strengthening delivery and ensuring that technical decisions support the wider product strategy.Working closely with Product Management, technical experts and architecture, you will establish clear priorities, make progress visible and support the team in delivering valuable software with a high level of autonomy.Your responsibilities will include:Leading, coaching and developing software engineers while creating a healthy and accountable team environmentTaking ownership of team performance, delivery commitments and day-to-day executionTranslating product priorities into realistic plans together with Product Management and technical stakeholdersIdentifying risks, dependencies and capacity constraints at an early stage and helping the team resolve themSupporting recruitment, onboarding, performance development and long-term team growthChallenging technical proposals and contributing to decisions around architecture, quality and maintainabilityImproving engineering practices, including testing, operational reliability and the handling of technical debtHelping modernise complex software products and supporting the company's continued cloud journeyEncouraging the effective use of AI-assisted development tools while maintaining sound engineering judgementCollaborating across teams and locations and communicating progress, decisions and challenges clearlyThis is a leadership position with strong technical proximity. You will not be expected to act as a full-time developer, but you should be able to understand implementation details, review technical approaches and engage confidently with engineers when challenges arise.Your BackgroundYou combine engineering credibility with the ability to lead teams through growth and change.Ideally, you bring:Several years of professional software development experience, with strong knowledge of C# and the .NET ecosystemExperience leading software engineers as an Engineering Manager, Team Lead or in a comparable positionPrevious responsibility for people development, feedback, performance and hiringA strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, modern development practices and production environmentsExperience delivering complex software products in an agile or iterative settingThe ability to prioritise pragmatically, follow through on commitments and create clarity under changing conditionsAn interest in cloud transformation, software modernisation and scalable engineering structuresConfidence working in a dynamic organisation where leaders are expected to take initiative and drive topics forwardPractical curiosity around AI-supported software developmentBusiness-fluent English, as English is the company languageGerman language skills are an advantage, but not a requirementExperience with React, ERP software, e-commerce platforms, transactional systems or the transformation of established software products would be beneficial.Why Join?You will enter the company at a point where engineering leadership has a direct and visible impact.
