Our Team:
At our global Digital Document Management (DDM) team, we provide cross-functional services for all Business and Functional Units worldwide within DSV supporting them with our services as backbone for DSV operations by providing digital creation, distribution, archival and document exchange processes. Running initiatives and upcoming projects are thriving to further improve and boost our way of digitizing DSV’s global digital document management.
The role:
You will primarily fill the role of Application architect for DSV’s Document Enterprise Service (Doc ES) application under the Digital Document Management (DDM) team along with architectural support to other applications under DDM.
This role is expected to:
Drive system level technical design and implementation of greenfield components
Have constant focus on architectural best practices for solving scalability, availability and security areas in Doc ES
Collaborate with product administration and management peers
Ensure consistency and quality in the digital document services landscape
Work closely with Solution architects, DDM Lead Architect, Lead developer and development team as well as Product Managers to enhance stability and drive improvements
Solution and system design all relevant new integrations and further targets from enterprise data platform relations
Responsibility/ Tasks:
Adapt and apply system architecture, integration guidelines, and data architecture principles defined by the DDM Solution Architecture and EDP
Maintain a strong focus on operational cost and nonfunctional requirements in close alignment with the DDM Solution Architect
Continuously learn and adapt to the evolving enterprise Digital Document Solution landscape with guidance from the DDM Solution Architect
Collaborate with the Lead Solution Architect, Domain Specialists, and Business Analysts during requirement analysis to ensure alignment with the broader DDM solution direction
Serve as a backup domain SME for DocES to prevent single points of failure in domain expertise
Act as the custodian of the technical and system level architecture of DocES components as they evolve
Maintain up-to-date system design documentation for new and enhanced DocES backend components
Serve as the security-by-design guardian to ensure that DocES implementations consistently align with enterprise security architecture principles
Serve as the bridge between DocES and the Digital Core Backend Team for changes involving relevant SDKs and architectural dependencies
Mentor the DocES development team to ensure adherence to backend design best practices defined by Digital Core
Translate the aligned solution design into clear, system level design story units for the development team
Review development processes and low-level design documentation in collaboration with the DocES Lead Developer
Support high engineering standards through regular implementation of backlog and technical debt reviews
Coach developers on best practices related to design patterns, clean architecture, cloud-native, and microservices
Coordinate with development and testing teams to improve overall technical quality and ensure technical debt is systematically addressed
Work closely with DBAs and DevSecOps teams to prevent and resolve system level health or operational issues
Engage with DevSecOps, Database, and Network teams to troubleshoot blocker issues in environments or CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with the testing team to conduct performance tests aligned with the nonfunctional requirements of each new release
Analyze DocES component observability data, including system reliability and performance trends, to drive continuous improvement
Requirements:
It is expected that you will have experience with most of the following technologies:

Container orchestration: Kubernetes

Load balancing: NGINX
Other requirements:
University degree in computer science, IT or equivalent.
3-4 years of experience in architect roles (e.g technical architect or software architect) with an overall minimum technical/IT experience of 8-12 years.
Experience with ELK and Prometheus for application log and metrics monitoring.
Experience with microservice patterns (such as Domain Driven, Event Driven, and CQRS) is valuable.
Good knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
Familiarity with database design best practices and performance analysis.
Experience in designing and aligning system interface documentation to ensure clarity and consistency.
Business fluency in both written and spoken English is a must.
Strong at effective cross-cultural communication with an international and collaborative mindset.
Knowledge of agile software delivery methodologies along with experience of handling development tickets in Jira & documentation in Confluence like tools
