We're looking for an experienced Java SRE / Application Support Engineer to join the Product Reliability Engineering (PRE) team, supporting critical, highly available applications under Value Added Services for a large enterprise organization.About the RoleAs a Java SRE / System Analyst in our PRE team, you'll be responsible for the availability, latency, performance, and efficiency of production systems supporting large-scale enterprise applications. You'll drive incident management, root cause analysis, and permanent problem resolution while working closely with Engineering, Product Development, Database, and Risk teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Production Application Support for critical, highly available systems, managing PROD incidents and following ITSM processesSupport large-scale, high-traffic enterprise applicationsTroubleshoot and debug Java-based applications; understand JVM internals and performance tuningManage applications running under large server environments (Unix/Linux)Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes, not just workaroundsParticipate in capacity planning and design reviews to identify gaps in supportability and resiliencyBuild and maintain dashboards, audits, alerts, and monitoring solutionsCollaborate cross-functionally with Systems, Database, Engineering, Product, Risk, and Technology teamsMust-Have SkillsStrong Java application development/support backgroundSolid experience with Linux/Unix server environmentsHands-on experience with Docker and KubernetesMid-level SQL proficiencyProven experience in Java application support, JVM troubleshooting, and debuggingExperience working in large-scale, enterprise server environmentsStrong communication skills
