Our aim is to empower any user in the world to harness the power of earth observation satellites to simplify and improve their daily work.As a full-stack engineer on our product team, you will own well-scoped features end-to-end — from design through production — with senior engineers alongside you as a sounding board on the bigger architecture calls. Concretely, that means rendering and querying large volumes of geospatial data efficiently in both browser and backend, writing the database queries that make that fast, and building integrations for the growing number of third-party consumers of our services.We are a team of five engineers today, actively growing, embedded in a cross-functional group of product managers, UX/UI designers, data, DevOps, ML, and geospatial engineering experts. You will not be the only person responsible for any system you touch.Your challengeBuild and extend features end-to-end that handle large volumes of geospatial data, with attention to UX and designBuild well-designed, performant API endpoints and backend services used by partners and customersWork in cross-functional teams, involved from early in a topic rather than handed a finished specGrow your domain knowledge and take on progressively larger slices of ownership as you doOur StackFrontend: React, TypeScriptBackend: NestJS, TypeORM, PythonDatabase: PostgreSQL (including geospatial workloads)Infrastructure & CI/CD: GitlabYour profileMust have:Solid TypeScript and React in production (Vue or Preact also fine - we care that you know a component model well, not which one)Backend experience with NestJS, Express, or Node.jsYou've worked in a codebase with CI/CD and code review, and can find your way around a system you didn't buildYou've used AI-assisted coding in your actual day-to-day, not just tried it onceNice to haveSpec-driven or test-driven development, agentic or otherwiseWeb-based geospatial / GIS workAn eye for design and UX - enough to make small design calls without needing a mockup for everythingYou do not need all of the "nice to haves," and you do not need to match every "must have" perfectly.
