Piper Companies is seeking a Common Criteria Security Engineer to join an innovative cybersecurity and technology organization supporting security certification initiatives across European markets for a long-term remote contract position based out of EST. The Common Criteria Security Engineer will partner with product, engineering, and security teams to help develop secure products and guide them through Common Criteria certification efforts.Responsibilities for the Common Criteria Security Engineer: Collaborate with software and systems engineering teams to integrate Common Criteria security requirements into product design and development. Prepare and maintain certification artifacts, including Security Targets, technical evidence, and supporting documentation. Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling exercises, and risk assessments to identify certification gaps. Work directly with evaluation laboratories and internal stakeholders to address findings and support certification activities. Contribute to secure development lifecycle (SDLC) programs, remediation initiatives, and ongoing certification maintenance efforts.Qualifications for the Common Criteria Security Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 3+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, systems engineering, or product security. Knowledge of security architecture, secure software development practices, and SDLC methodologies. Experience within one or more of the following areas: Identity & Access Management (IAM), cloud security, network security, operating systems, cryptography, or embedded technologies. Strong written communication and technical documentation skills. Experience with Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408), Security Targets (ST), Protection Profiles (PP), Evaluation Assurance Levels (EAL), EUCC, or SOG-IS frameworks is highly preferred. Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CCSP, or similar credentials are a plus. Experience supporting regulated, government, defense, or highly secure environments is preferred.Compensation for the Common Criteria Security Engineer:Salary Range: $95,000-$120,000/year (USD)Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), and additional benefits as provided by the employer.This job opens for applications on 8/4/26.
