We are currently looking for a Product Owner Standards & Governance for one of our clients in Utrecht. As a Product Owner Standards & Governance, you lead the roadmap and backlog, align stakeholders, and ensure standards are practical, discoverable, and widely adopted. Working closely with engineers, architects, security, and platform teams, you help create secure, scalable, and consistent integration solutions.Responsibilities• Own the vision and priorities: define and prioritize the roadmap and backlog for Standards & Governance, balancing business value, risk, compliance requirements, and developer experience.• Support adoption and usability: enable engineering teams to successfully apply standards in practice by understanding challenges, removing friction, and continuously improving usability.• Connect stakeholders and platforms: bring together Enterprise Architecture, Security, IT Risk, API Management, and engineering teams to drive alignment, shared ownership, and successful outcomes.• As Product Owner, you play a key role in creating a culture where governance becomes a natural part of engineering excellence and where standards help teams move faster, more securely, and with greater consistency.Qualifications• Experience as a Product Owner (3–5 years) or in a similar product role within a technical environment.• Experience leading organizational change and driving adoption of standards, platforms, or ways of working in large enterprises.• Experience working in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Middleware, Infrastructure, banking, or other highly regulated environments.• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.• Excellent communication and storytelling capabilities.• Ability to balance governance, usability, business value, and platform capabilities.• Eligible to work in the Netherlands.Preferably, you also bring• Experience designing or working with standards and governance frameworks.• A software engineering or technical delivery background.• Knowledge of integration patterns such as API Management and Event Streaming.• Experience improving adoption and developer experience for platforms or standards.If you are interested in this role or would like to know more, please contact Ritsa at ritsa.paraskevopoulou@experis.nl
