Within GOSP Generali Operations Service Platform, we are looking for a Senior Technical Lead to support our Global Digital Factory in delivering and driving the following key activities:Lead the end-to-end delivery of software products and strategic technology initiatives, being hands-on on both frontend (Flutter, modern web) and backend (Java/Spring Boot, microservices) codebases.Define and evolve solution architectures aligned with business goals and enterprise standards, ensuring consistency across distributed systems.Provide technical leadership and guidance to squad teams, supporting critical design and implementation decisions with direct code involvement if necessary.Drive engineering excellence through modern development practices, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous improvement.Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, reliability, and operational requirements, owning security by design across the full stack (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, OWASP, secure design patterns).Own security, compliance and risk assessments, as well as cloud policy and cloud adoption evaluation.Collaborate with architects, product owners, scrum masters, and business stakeholders to transform requirements into effective technical solutions.Promote engineering standards, governance practices, and a culture of quality and accountability across the organization.Coordinate distributed and multidisciplinary teams across multiple countries, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.Contribute to technology roadmaps, modernization programs, and strategic transformation initiatives including AI-enabled engineering adoption.Mentor engineers and help develop the next generation of technical leaders within the team.RequirementsDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.10+ years of proven, hands-on experience in software engineering, with a strong track record of delivering complex solutions in enterprise environments.5+ years in a Technical Lead or Senior Technical Lead role, with direct responsibility for architecture decisions, team guidance, and delivery of production systems.Proven hands-on expertise across the full stack including devOPS practices: backend development with Java and Spring Boot, and frontend development with Flutter and/or modern web frameworks. The candidate must demonstrate direct, hands-on coding experience on both frontend and backend codebases.Demonstrated hands-on experience in application security: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, secure design patterns, OWASP best practices.Experience in the insurance or financial services industry, or in similarly regulated and complex enterprise environments (e.g., banking, healthcare, telecommunications), is strongly preferred.Experience working in international, multi-country delivery programs with distributed teams.Knowledge of the English language (CEFR B2 reference level or above).Hard Skills:Solution Architecture and Enterprise Design.Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, Java and Spring Boot.Cloud Platforms (AWS and/or GCP).DevOps, CI/CD, Automation, Containerization and Kubernetes.Security by Design: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Secure Design Patterns and Best Practices.Flutter and Modern Mobile Development.AI-enabled Engineering, including tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and modern Generative AI platforms with an understanding of LLM architectures, AI integration patterns, and AI governance principles.Technology Governance, Engineering Excellence, and Agile Delivery.Technical Leadership, Mentoring, and Stakeholder Management.Soft Skills:Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams, drive accountability, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous learning.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-level management.Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers, building high-performing teams.Ability to operate autonomously across architecture, engineering, security, and stakeholder management domains.Predisposition to simplify processes and reduce complexity.What we offerWe offer employment at the 'funzionario' level with the relevant salary, in accordance with the CCNL ANIA for non-executive employees and the Generali Group Company Agreement.Gross annual salary ranging between 60.000K€ and 70.000K€.
