Senior Business Analyst – Finance, Risk & DataA financial-services organisation is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the continued development of enterprise data capabilities for finance, risk, and management reporting.This role sits within a large-scale transformation environment where reporting processes, data structures, and technology platforms are being modernised. You will help turn complex business, finance, and regulatory needs into clear functional requirements and sustainable data solutions.The roleAs Senior Business Analyst, you will act as the link between business stakeholders, product leadership, architects, and delivery teams. You will help define the business and data changes needed to support accurate, controlled, and scalable reporting.Key responsibilities include:Eliciting, analysing, and documenting business requirements for finance, risk, and internal reporting use cases.Assessing the impact of new reporting requests, regulatory changes, and process improvements across the data landscape.Converting business and regulatory needs into solution designs, functional specifications, and implementation-ready requirements.Developing and maintaining data models and contributing to logical data-warehouse design.Collaborating with architects and engineering teams throughout refinement, build, testing, and implementation.Identifying data dependencies, process impacts, and integration points across the wider enterprise data ecosystem.Coordinating stakeholders across finance, risk, technology, and reporting functions to drive alignment and decisions.Producing concise analysis, status updates, decision materials, and management-level reporting views.Supporting initiatives related to data governance, data quality, traceability, and regulatory reporting.Helping ensure that reporting data solutions remain robust, scalable, and fit for increasing business complexity.What you bringAt least five years’ experience as a Business Analyst.Experience in financial services; banking experience is advantageous.Proven exposure to finance, risk, regulatory, or management-reporting processes.Strong command of business-analysis techniques, including requirements elicitation, process analysis, impact assessment, and stakeholder alignment.Experience translating reporting requirements into data requirements and solution designs.Knowledge of data warehousing principles, including data lineage, integration, historical data, and reporting layers.Practical experience with data modelling; familiarity with dimensional modelling and/or Data Vault is highly valued.Ability to write and interpret SQL queries independently.Familiarity with business-intelligence and reporting environments.Experience working in large, complex change programmes involving multiple teams and dependencies.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to facilitate discussions and resolve ambiguity.A proactive, structured working style and the confidence to take ownership of deliverables.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent professional and intellectual capability.Professional fluency in Dutch and English, spoken and written.While you will work closely with technical teams and should understand data platforms and reporting architecture, the core focus is on:Business and regulatory requirements analysis.Stakeholder coordination and decision facilitation.Translating reporting needs into data models and solution requirements.Data-warehouse and data-platform design support.Delivery oversight from analysis through implementation.Interested?Are you a senior Business Analyst who enjoys connecting business, finance, risk, and data teams to deliver meaningful reporting solutions?
