Your primary objective is to enhance the precision of Estimated Time of Arrival calculations and other critical logistics metrics. This is a leadership heavy role that requires a balance of strategic vision, team development, and technical oversight.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a high performing team of data scientists, fostering professional growth and a results oriented environment.Define the strategic direction for logistics estimation solutions in close partnership with product management teams.Collaborate across functions with machine learning and backend engineers to ensure seamless implementation of predictive models.Take full ownership of logistics performance indicators, specifically focusing on the accuracy of customer facing delivery estimates.Conduct deep dive root cause analyses to identify and resolve accuracy gaps and operational friction points.Act as a technical bridge, translating complex machine learning concepts into actionable insights for executive stakeholders.Oversee the conceptual design and validation strategies for new predictive features and model improvements.Partner with engineering teams to transition robust algorithmic logic into scalable production environments.Candidate RequirementsAn advanced degree such as a Master or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.Significant experience in people management and leadership within a data science context, with a track record of developing talent.Strong background in developing and deploying machine learning models within a large scale corporate environment.Advanced conceptual knowledge of machine learning methodologies, particularly in geospatial analysis, routing, or logistics.
