We are a startup founded in 2025, expect tight deadlines and freedom in establishing your own engineering processes.Role Description As an Embedded Engineer at Aerlijn B.V., you will design, implement, and optimize embedded hardware and software for interceptor platforms and communications equipment such as ground control stations. On a day-to-day basis, you will develop hardware and low-level software, integrate hardware and software components for UAVs, ground control stations and radar equipment, and perform debugging and validation of embedded systems. You will majorly contribute to system architecture decisions, conduct performance and reliability testing, and help ensure compliance with relevant standards and security requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Amsterdam office in Amsterdam Zuid, where you will work in a hands-on environment closely connected to real-world defense applications.QualificationsAbility to self-regulate, and willingness to direct a team are a must.Ability to learn new skills in ludicrously tight deadlines is a must.Strong skills in electrical hardware design. PCB, wiring, microelectronics, complex systems - full working understanding.Strong skills in low-level software design.At least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.Knowledge of drone design and/or drone communication equipment is a strong plus.BSc/MSc Engineering or equivalent is required.Ability to work on-site in Amsterdam, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly in English.
