About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on IDC Technician to perform on-site duties at our Internet Data Center (IDC) in Rotterdam or Amsterdam. The role involves monitoring hardware, troubleshooting issues, executing work orders, and supporting day-to-day operations while following safety and service protocols. The position requires shift work (including night and weekend rotations).Key ResponsibilitiesPerform on-site duties at the IDC according to shift schedule (7×24 / 5×8).Respond to incidents and execute work orders, including urgent or temporary tasks.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues with servers, switches, cables, and other IDC equipment.Conduct routine inspections and report potential risks or equipment issues.Assist with installation, racking, deployment, maintenance, and minor construction tasks.Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and document all work accurately.QualificationsDegree: Associate degree (full-time) or equivalent and aboveMajor: Computer science or related fieldsWork ExperienceIndustry experience: More than 3 yearsYears of experience: More than 3 yearsSkills: Data center operations skills, understanding of IT infrastructure, teammanagement, communication and collaborationRequired SkillsHardware troubleshooting and maintenance skills.Basic IT knowledge (servers, switches, networking equipment).Ability to follow instructions and SOPs accurately.Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends.Preferred SkillsGood communication and teamwork skills.Strong self-discipline and reliability.Basic English or Dutch/Chinese language skills are a plus.LocationKoolhovenlaan 35‑45, 1119 NB Schiphol‑RijkCompensationSalary and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.Sourced from LinkedIn.
