About The RoleAs an Infra Lifecycle and Build Specialist, you will make an impact by owning the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure across manufacturing plant environments — from hands-on hardware deployment and configuration to structured decommissioning. You will be a valued member of the IT Infrastructure team and work collaboratively with on-site plant teams, technical stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure reliable and consistent technology operations across critical production sites.In This Role, You WillRack, stack, cable, and configure Dell workstations and rack-mount servers in manufacturing plant IT rooms and data center environments, including ESXi host setup and SAN Storage configurationPerform physical and remote hard drive wipes as part of the decommissioning process; execute lift-and-shift of hardware to decommission palettes and coordinate vendor pick-upAdminister and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows environments (Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019) and manage VMware infrastructure including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi clustersBuild and image Windows 10 workstations via PXE or USB, manage device inventories, and support software installation and uninstallation across plant-segmented networksTravel up to 15% of the time to manufacturing plant sites — including potential overnight stays and air travel Work modelAt Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible, and we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs.
