This is a role for engineers who care about velocity and solving real customer problems. You won't just ship code - you'll own projects end-to-end, make core product and technical decisions, and shape the trajectory of the company. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of owning projects end-to-end, translating customer problems into solutions, and making pragmatic trade-offs. While the stack is TypeScript and Python, strong engineering fundamentals and a 'figure it out' mentality are far more important than specific language experience. Without evidence of high ownership and a bias for action (e.g., side projects, startup experience, key player in past roles), do not proceed. The culture is intense and built for those who want to be fully immersed. They expect new hires to ship to production on day one and have no code reviews to maximize speed. The team works in-person, often in pairs, and values acting quickly and fixing things later.
