Job Description | Junior Data ScientistAbout the RoleWe are looking for a motivated Junior Data Scientist to join a growing data team focused on transforming large volumes of data into actionable insights. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong quantitative background who enjoys solving complex problems using statistical methods, machine learning, and programming.You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop analytical models, identify business opportunities through data, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and interpret large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.Develop, validate, and optimize statistical and machine learning models.Apply advanced analytical techniques, including multivariate statistics, predictive modeling, and network analysis.Clean, transform, and prepare structured and unstructured data for analysis.Build reproducible analytical workflows using Python and/or R.Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.Present findings and recommendations through clear visualizations and reports.Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical methodologies and best practices.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline such as Physics, Engineering, or another field with a strong mathematical and statistical foundation.Ideally, a Master's Degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field.1 to 2 years of experience working on analytical or data science projects.Strong understanding of statistical methodologies, including multivariate analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and network analysis.Experience working with large datasets and performing data preparation, transformation, and analysis.Strong programming skills in Python and/or R.Good knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Professional proficiency in English.Nice to HaveExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop.Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib.Knowledge of version control using Git.What We're Looking ForCurious and data-driven mindset.Passion for statistics, machine learning, and solving real-world problems.Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills.Proactive attitude and ownership of assigned tasks.
