SOC Analyst – 12 Month Contract to Permanent – UtrechtThe RoleWe are looking for a proactive SOC Analyst to join a growing Security Operations team based in Utrecht. This role starts as a 12-month contract with the intention of transitioning into a permanent position. You will play a key role in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, helping to protect critical IT environments while continuously improving the organization's security posture. Working in a collaborative team, you will leverage industry-leading security tools to identify threats, investigate incidents, and support ongoing security improvements.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and analyze security events using Microsoft Defender and Splunk SIEM.Investigate, triage, and respond to security incidents.Perform threat analysis and support incident response activities.Identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.Develop and improve detection rules, dashboards, and security monitoring processes.Collaborate with infrastructure and IT teams to resolve security issues.Maintain incident documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Stay up to date with the latest cyber threats, attack techniques, and security best practices.SkillsExperience working as a SOC Analyst or in a similar Cyber Security role.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender.Strong knowledge of Splunk SIEM for security monitoring and incident investigation.Understanding of security operations, incident response, and threat detection.Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.Fluent Dutch is mandatory.We will endeavour to respond to your application as soon as possible.However, due to high volumes of applications, this may not always be feasible.If unsuccessful on this occasion, we will retain your details for future suitable opportunities.Amoria Bond operates as an employment agency and employment business.
