Freelancer Project!For our Berlin based and "AI First" Company we are looking for 2 Freelance Backend Engineers who enjoys building scalable backend systems and is excited about working in an environment where AI is at the core of both the product and the engineering workflow.Our client is specifically looking for engineers who embrace AI as a productivity multiplier and who actively integrate AI coding agents into their daily workflow.The ideal candidate:-Has hands-on experience working with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI-based coding agents, or similar solutions-Understands how to leverage AI agents for software delivery while maintaining engineering quality and ownership-Is comfortable reviewing, validating, and refining AI-generated code before shipping to production-Sees AI as an integral part of modern software engineering rather than an experimental add-onMust Have Skills: -Strong backend engineering experience with TypeScript and Node.js as primary technologies-Latest projects must contain TypeScript, Node.js and AWS (at least in the last 3 years)-Deep practical AWS knowledge, especially serverless architectures-Experience building and operating production-grade services-Strong understanding of API design, domain modelling, and distributed systems-Comfortable working independently in unfamiliar codebases-Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)Tasks:-Design and develop backend services using TypeScript and Node.js-Build and operate scalable serverless architectures on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Event Streaming)-Define and maintain robust API and data contracts-Take full ownership of services from design through production operations-Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve live systems-Collaborate closely with product, AI, and research teamsProject language: EnglishProject start: as soon as possible, latest start in december Project duration: 3 MM - Fulltime, with strong possibility to extend Location: remote, but must be located in GermanyThank you & best regards,
