YOUR IMPACT You will lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow ITOM capabilities, firm cloud platform solutions, and Risk-as-Code automation. You will place a primary emphasis on CMDB, CSDM v5, service modeling, and builder-facing risk and security guidance. You will define and establish ServiceNow as the definitive system of record for digital products, services, configuration items, ownership, operational relationships, risk metadata, controls, approvals, and service lifecycle data. By partnering closely with product teams, technology builders, risk Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Cyber, Legal, Resilience, and the ServiceNow Center of Excellence and Innovation (CoEI), you will automate risk management guidance and embed it seamlessly into builder workflows, cloud-native delivery patterns, and operational service processes. You will design and lead the implementation of ServiceNow and firm cloud platform solutions, maintaining a strict focus on CMDB and CSDM v5 principles for digital products, services, relationships, ownership, lifecycle states, and CI class modeling. You will architect integration patterns that seamlessly connect AI-coded cloud application stacks with ServiceNow’s enterprise inventory, CMDB, workflow, approval, and risk management capabilities. You will architect Risk-as-Code capabilities that codify risk guidance, security requirements, control applicability, approval logic, policy requirements, and exception handling into ServiceNow data models, cloud-native services, rules engines, workflows, APIs, and automation patterns. You will enable automated risk and security guidance for product teams and technology builders by connecting CMDB data with risk, control, compliance, architecture, ownership, telemetry, and lifecycle information. You will define and implement CMDB data quality, reconciliation, normalization, certification, and governance practices leveraging ServiceNow capabilities, Firm data platforms, integration patterns, and automated controls. You will build AI-enabled ServiceNow and firm cloud platform solutions utilizing Now Assist, AI Agents, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, custom scoped applications, and AI-assisted engineering tooling to automate risk guidance, enhance builder experience, and strengthen governed decision support. You will design and build custom, builder-facing experiences using AI-assisted engineering tools such as Cursor and Claude, integrating them with ServiceNow as the core system of record for services, risks, controls, approvals, and operational data. You will design robust integration patterns between ServiceNow, firm cloud platforms, AI-enabled systems of engagement, DevOps tooling, observability platforms, security tooling, and enterprise data sources to ensure reliable synchronization of operational data. You will support integrations across ServiceNow IRM, ITSM, Event Management, approval workflows, roles/rights management, and operational service processes to guarantee scalable, secure, resilient, auditable, and maintainable solutions. You will provide hands-on technical leadership across ServiceNow scripting, custom applications, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, ACLs, Scripted REST APIs, Service Portal functionality, cloud-native application development, APIs, event-driven integrations, and secure software engineering practices. You will lead ServiceNow and software engineers using agile principles, taking charge of technical backlog shaping, design reviews, sprint delivery, code/configuration reviews, release planning, DevSecOps practices, and engineering mentorship. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Deep, hands-on experience designing and architecting ServiceNow solutions, with profound knowledge of ITOM, CMDB, and strong practical application of CSDM v5 principles Demonstrated proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, custom scoped application development, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, ACLs, and Scripted REST APIs Extensive background in software engineering, cloud-native solution design, API development, and building event-driven integrations between enterprise platforms and cloud application stacks Proven ability to codify and automate risk, compliance, and security controls (Risk-as-Code), successfully embedding them into CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and enterprise service processes Practical experience utilizing AI-enabled engineering tools (e.g., Now Assist, AI Agents, Cursor, Claude) to accelerate development, build custom builder-facing experiences, and automate decision-making systems Strong track record of leading cross-functional engineering teams using agile and DevSecOps principles, including driving design reviews, code/configuration reviews, release planning, and providing mentorship, and ensuring scalable, secure practices Please review the additional requirements regarding essential job functions of McKinsey colleagues.
