You'll build and maintain data pipelines integrating with financial vendors, automate reporting workflows, and help evolve infrastructure across multiple environments, in a team where clean code, strong fundamentals, and AI-assisted development are part of how everyone works every day.What you'll doDesign, build, and maintain Airflow-based data pipelines and automation workflows.Integrate with external financial data providers and internal services.Manage configuration and deployments across test, user-acceptance, and production environments.Contribute to shared libraries, CLI tooling, and automated reporting infrastructure.Collaborate closely with the wider team to scope, review, and ship changes end-to-end.Use AI coding assistants as a genuine force multiplier, this is part of the daily workflow, not optional.What we're looking forStrong Python fundamentals, you write clean, well-typed, testable code as a matter of habit.Strong SQL skills, you write and optimise complex queries without reaching for an ORM first.Hands-on PostgreSQL experience: indexes, query plans, schema design.Experience with workflow orchestration and pipeline tooling, Airflow experience is directly relevant.Comfortable working in a containerised, cloud-native infrastructure.Able to move fast without cutting corners, you know when to slow down and when to ship.Proactive communicator who picks up context quickly in a busy, high-throughput environment.Confident using AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow.Nice to haveFamiliarity with financial data, market data vendors, or post-trade systems.Experience working in a regulated financial services or capital markets environment.Background in building or maintaining shared developer libraries and internal tooling.Life at SytacWorking at Sytac means joining a community that prioritizes your growth.
