This is a full-time, permanent contract position that could based at either our Europe Campus in Fontainebleau or our Asia Campus in Singapore. It ensures seamless integration of digital tools and infrastructure across all campuses, fostering innovation and operational efficiency.About The JobThe Senior PeopleSoft Technical Leader is responsible for the technical leadership, architecture, development, integration, and operational stability of the INSEAD PeopleSoft platform, including the Campus Solutions, Contributor Relations, and custom-developed modules.The role primarily supports the complete student lifecycle, from admissions through graduation. Once students become alumni, ownership of their records transitions to the Salesforce Ascend platform. The Technical Leader ensures that the PeopleSoft platform remains secure, scalable, maintainable, and fully integrated within the INSEAD digital ecosystem.In addition to student administration, the role is responsible for supporting key academic processes, including faculty teaching management, ensuring seamless integration with other faculty-related systems. Another critical responsibility is overseeing the technical processes supporting the billing and payment of degree programmes, including the integration with the TransferMate payment platform.The PeopleSoft platform supports more than 20 business interfaces and plays a critical role in identity management through its integration with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). The INSEAD email address serves as the primary digital identity, enabling authentication and access to INSEAD's digital services.The Senior PeopleSoft Technical Leader provides technical leadership across PeopleCode development, application architecture, upgrades, integrations, security, and production support. The role works closely with Business Product Owners, Digital Delivery teams, Digital Solution Integration Experts, the PeopleSoft Platform Administrator, and external vendors. Close collaboration with the Platform Administrator is essential for infrastructure upgrades, PeopleTools and PUM updates, environment management, and the implementation of new integrations with enterprise systems.Your role within the team Understand business requirements, use cases, business rules, priorities, and key functional and data processes. Lead the technical architecture and evolution of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Contributor Relations. Recommend solutions that maximize standard PeopleSoft capabilities before introducing customization. Design scalable and maintainable PeopleCode solutions and define development standards and best practices. Maintain technical documentation to support knowledge transfer and onboarding. Identify and manage dependencies with interfaces, integrations, and third-party applications. Review technical designs and code produced by internal and external teams. Identify technical debt and define modernization initiatives. Support transactional reporting and technical delivery activities. Collaboration with the Delivery Lead and Product Manager Work closely with the Delivery Lead on requirements, priorities, planning, and delivery. Help identify missing use cases, business rules, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and technical constraints. Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications. Ensure effective technical communication across developers, integration teams, infrastructure, and vendors. Support solution walkthroughs, testing, defect resolution, and deployment. The ideal candidate profile A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. 8+ years of professional experience working with Oracle PeopleSoft, with significant experience in technical development, solution design, and production support. Experience integrating PeopleSoft with payment platforms or financial systems would be an advantage; experience with TransferMate would be particularly valuable. Strong experience working with third-party vendors and external development teams, including technical design reviews, code reviews, technical specifications, and delivery oversight. Demonstrated ability to lead technical decisions and establish development standards and best practices, while balancing standard PeopleSoft functionality against customisation.Experience in higher education, EdTech, scheduling, career services or complex multi-stakeholder environments is advantageous.
