PurposeAs a Lead Cloud Architect, you are responsible for designing, governing, and evolving the enterprise-grade cloud architecture of the One Data Ecosystem (ODE) on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You ensure platform stability, scalability, security, and compliance while enabling advanced data, analytics, and AI workloads.You act as a technical authority and strategic leader, working closely with Data & Analytics teams, business stakeholders, and international engineering teams to deliver a future-proof, secure, and highly available cloud platform.This role is critical to maintaining the stability and availability of the ODE_S environment and driving the successful migration from legacy architectures to GCP.About team and projectYou will be part of the Finance & B2B domain within the DATA TRIBE, contributing to the transformation of the enterprise data and cloud landscape within the One Data Ecosystem (ODE).Our mission is to: Migrate and modernize existing data and platform architectures to GCP Establish standardized, secure, and scalable cloud landing zones Enable data engineering, analytics, and AI teams with robust cloud foundationsYou will work in a future-oriented, agile, and international environment, collaborating across domains and geographies. WHAT WILL YOU DO?Cloud Architecture & Strategy Analyze the current (“As-Is”) cloud and data platform architecture, identifying risks, gaps, and optimization opportunities Design enterprise-scale GCP architectures that are scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient Define cloud strategy, target architecture, and migration roadmaps for ODE workloads Establish cloud landing zones, VPC design, networking, and identity architecturePlatform & Infrastructure Design Architect and govern GCP infrastructure using services such as:o Compute: GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functionso Data & Storage: BigQuery, Dataplex, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQLo Messaging & Streaming: Pub/Subo AI/ML: Vertex AI Design and manage data platforms, data lakes, and analytics architectures Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for compliant, repeatable deployments Define standards for CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practicesSecurity, Governance & Compliance Design and enforce cloud security architecture, including:o IAM, VPCs, firewalls, VPNs, Cloud KMS Ensure compliance with GDPR and enterprise security standards Apply data protection concepts such as data classification, pseudonymization, and anonymization Define governance models for cloud resources, cost management, and access controlOperations & Reliability Ensure platform stability, availability, and performance of the ODE_S environment Architect monitoring, logging, and observability solutions (Cloud Monitoring, Logging, Prometheus) Identify and resolve complex platform and infrastructure issues Prevent availability risks and operational bottlenecksLeadership & Collaboration Lead international and cross-functional teams of architects, engineers, and data experts Translate business and technical requirements into clear architectural designs and specifications Support presales, solution design, and strategic decision-making Mentor junior architects and engineers; establish architecture best practices and standards Document architecture decisions, patterns, and technical solutions thoroughlyRequired Qualifications 10+ years of enterprise IT and cloud architecture experience 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing GCP solutions at enterprise scale Deep expertise in:o GCP core services (BigQuery, Dataplex, GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI)o Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager)o Cloud networking, IAM, and security architecture Proven experience architecting:o Cloud platformso Data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics solutions Strong Kubernetes and container orchestration experience (GKE) Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows Proficiency in Python and/or shell scripting Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Fluent English Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Security Engineer, Network Engineer) Experience with AWS or multi-cloud architectures Experience with AI/ML platforms and Generative AI integrations Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) server implementations Experience in regulated industries (Finance, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Telecommunications) Proven experience leading and mentoring architecture teams You will succeed if you: Hold a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Have extensive experience in ICT analysis, architecture, and solution design Bring a strong background as a senior data professional or data architect in enterprise environments Possess deep knowledge of data architecture, data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), and ETL / ELT patterns Have strong hands-on or design-level experience with SQL, Python, UNIX, GIT, and UML Are skilled in analyzing existing enterprise data landscapes and identifying architectural gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities Design scalable, stable, and maintainable data architectures aligned with business strategy and enterprise standards Define and maintain target data architectures, reference architectures, and architectural principles Translate business and technical requirements into clear architectural designs, standards, and technical specifications Establish and enforce data architecture guidelines, best practices, and design patterns Drive alignment with data governance frameworks, including data quality, metadata, and ownership models Lead and plan data migration strategies, especially on-premise or legacy systems to GCP Design cloud-native data platforms on GCP using services such as BigQuery, Dataplex, and Cloud Storage Ensure architectural consistency across hybrid and cloud environments Define and oversee testing strategies for data pipelines, integrations, and platforms Ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency Guide teams in resolving complex data issues through structured root-cause analysis Collaborate closely with international and cross-functional teams, including data engineers, cloud architects, analytics teams, and business stakeholders Act as a technical lead and trusted advisor, supporting presales activities and architectural decision-making Mentor data engineers and junior architects, strengthening architectural maturity across teams Work effectively in agile environments, managing architectural requirements across the full project lifecycle Contribute to structured and transparent decision-making processes Prepare and maintain high-quality architecture documentation, including diagrams, standards, and architectuSourced from Profesia.
