We are adding a Junior AI Implementation Specialist to our team to support a series of projects for our partner, who is based in Berlin. This role is about taking artificial intelligence out of the theoretical space and putting it into practical business workflows. You will help us build systems that use language models to categorize internal data, extract information from complex documents, and help operations teams find the answers they need without digging through spreadsheets. This is a full-time, fully remote position where you will work on the functional side of modern software. About Pixel Systems Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency. We build the tools that teams actually use to run their businesses. We do not spend our time on flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical stuff: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that most people try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another. We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes, do weekly demos, and hand over everything including the code and documentation when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable. We are a team of professionals who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends. The Role In this role, you will be working on the practical implementation of AI tools. While other companies might focus on training large models from scratch, we focus on how to make existing models work with specific business data. You will spend your time connecting APIs, writing prompts that produce consistent results, and ensuring that the data coming out of a model is clean enough to be used in a database. A lot of the work involves moving data between systems and making sure the AI components are reliable. Since we are a fully remote company, you will document your progress and communicate with the team through written updates and regular check-ins. What You Bring You do not need to be an expert in machine learning, but you should have a solid foundation in programming basics. We are looking for the following: A high level of organization and the ability to track multiple tasks. The ability to write readable code that other developers can understand. A pragmatic mindset and a willingness to work on un-cool but highly useful internal tools. Clear communication skills, especially in writing. A habit of testing your work to make sure it handles unexpected inputs correctly. Curiosity about how different software systems connect and share data. A preference for finishing tasks rather than leaving them almost done. Helpful Background While this is an entry-level position, familiarity with certain tools will help you get started faster. It is helpful if you have worked with: JavaScript or TypeScript, particularly in a Node.js environment. Basic SQL and relational databases like Postgres. Version control using GitHub. Connecting to and using third-party APIs. Basic frontend work using React. Standard document formats like JSON and CSV. Working at Pixel Systems We are a flat organization with no layers of middle management. You will work directly with senior developers who have been building software for a long time. We offer a competitive salary that is attractive for the current market and the flexibility of working from wherever you choose. Our culture is focused on shipping work that helps real people, such as warehouse managers or operations leads, do their jobs more effectively. We value quiet productivity and respect your time outside of work. We are a small team by choice. We avoid the drama and the long meetings that usually slow down software development. Our goal is to build stable, useful systems for our clients and then move on to the next challenge. We are looking for someone who shares that mindset and wants to build a career by creating software that actually solves problems.
