QA Engineer Location: Remote Work format: Full-time (contractor) About position We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a project for a US-based company that provides technology and coding solutions for medical insurance. The product supports hospitals, medical centers, and healthcare organizations across the US, helping them reduce operational and financial barriers so they can focus on delivering care to their communities. You’ll be primarily focused on manual functional testing of web applications, with additional exposure to desktop testing. Your work will cover the full testing cycle, from preparing test cases and maintaining testing documentation to identifying, investigating, and tracking defects and helping ensure that new functionality works as expected. This role offers an opportunity to deepen your expertise in web UI testing, browser developer tools, and modern QA practices while working on a product used by healthcare organizations across the US. You’ll gain hands-on experience in an international product environment and have the opportunity to grow your QA skills while working on a product with a meaningful impact on healthcare operations. Key Responsibilities Perform manual functional testing of web applications, with a strong focus on regression testing. Perform desktop application testing and help ensure consistent product behavior across different environments. Create and maintain test cases and other testing documentation. Identify, investigate, document, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle. Use browser developer tools such as Chrome DevTools to investigate issues and verify application behavior. Collaborate closely with developers and other team members to clarify requirements, investigate issues, and support smooth feature delivery. Actively participate in project meetings, planning sessions, and other team activities. Take ownership of assigned testing activities and coordinate effectively with the team to ensure thorough test coverage. Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience in manual functional software testing, particularly regression testing. Hands-on experience with web application testing. Understanding of and practical experience with desktop application testing. Good working knowledge of browser developer tools, such as Chrome DevTools. Experience with test management and issue tracking tools such as TestRail, Jira, or similar. Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking, with the ability to investigate issues and identify potential defects. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating and coordinating with other team members. Good communication skills and a proactive, responsible approach to work. English proficiency at B1+ level or above. Native Russian proficiency.Nice-to-have Skills Experience writing simple automated tests, including with the support of AI-powered tools. Knowledge of SQL and the ability to write simple queries for data validation. Basic mathematical skills and the ability to work confidently with calculations and numerical data. Familiarity with localization testing and validating application behavior across different languages, regions, formats, and locale-specific settings. Previous experience working on healthcare, medical insurance, or other domain-specific products. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.
