You will play a critical role in building and evolving the company’s validation framework, working closely with hearing scientists, audio engineers, and product teams to ensure exceptional sound quality and performance across a range of consumer audio productsThe role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge AI-powered audio technologies while establishing yourself as a key authority on sound quality, acoustic validation, and listening experience within a highly innovative environment.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEstablish and continuously evolve validation labs, processes, and toolchains for AI-based and traditional audio processing technologiesDesign and implement test environments that accurately simulate real-world listening scenarios across headphones, hearables, smart glasses, and other audio-enabled devicesPlan and execute objective electroacoustic measurements and subjective listening tests, both in-house and through remote testing platformsCollaborate with hearing scientists and audio engineers to develop validation methodologies and test cases for Hearing Intelligence productsEvaluate partner, OEM, and competitor products to benchmark performance and identify opportunities for innovationSupport the development and evaluation of audio DSP modules, including sound classification, scene identification, filtering, and adaptive audio processingGenerate, curate, and manage training data to support machine learning initiativesDocument validation systems, methodologies, and audio modules to enable knowledge sharing across the businessOnboard and support engineering teams in effectively utilizing validation tools and systemsPartner with commercial teams to provide technical expertise, product insights, and customer-facing support where requiredREQUIRED EXPERTISEDegree in Audio Engineering, Media Technology, Psychoacoustics, Audiology, or a related disciplineProven experience conducting acoustic validation and testing of audio devices using both objective measurement and subjective listening methodologiesStrong critical listening skills with the ability to assess sound quality across speech, music, and environmental audio, and communicate findings with precisionProgramming experience using tools such as Python, MATLAB, or C++, alongside confidence leveraging AI-assisted development toolsKnowledge of, or strong interest in, audio DSP development and signal processing technologiesUnderstanding of OEM requirements, industry standards, and emerging audio technology trendsProduct-focused mindset with a collaborative, hands-on approach to problem solvingExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into clear recommendations for cross-functional stakeholdersFluent English language skillsExperience developing audio DSP solutions using C/C++Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering disciplineExperience working with AI-powered audio technologies, hearing solutions, or consumer audio productsFamiliarity with methodologies such as MUSHRA testing, dummy head measurements, and speech intelligibility testing
