Data Governance Analyst Amsterdam, The Netherlands (Hybride) Up to 75k annually About the RoleA leading international organisation is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join its growing Data Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a greenfield environment, contributing to a wide range of data-focused initiatives and projects.The OpportunityBased in Amsterdam as part of the Central Data Team, you will help shape and drive the organisation’s data governance initiatives. You will focus on metadata and reference data management, taxonomy development, and data quality monitoring and improvement.In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert, promoting data governance awareness across the organisation and collaborating closely with central teams to deliver measurable data governance and data quality outcomes.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the data governance framework, including data policies and standards.Design and manage data quality assurance programs to monitor, measure, and improve data quality.Lead initiatives related to master data, reference data, and taxonomy management.Maintain the business glossary to ensure consistent definitions, terminology, and understanding of key business terms across all departments.Collaborate with IT, business, and compliance teams to implement effective data governance solutions.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and industry standards.Ability to communicate the value and role of data governance to both business and technical audiences.Experience working in project-based environments with multiple tasks, dependencies, and deadlines.Ability to influence and build consensus across organisational boundaries.Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra) is a plus.Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, EU AI Act, or HIPAA is advantageous.Location: Amsterdam, NetherlandsTeam: Central Data Team
