Flatiron Health is an independent affiliate of the Roche Group.What You'll DoIn this role, you'll work within the Platform organization to ensure that our Cloud Network Infrastructure maintains the highest levels of reliability, performance, observability and agility. As a member of Enterprise Engineering you will have a key role in scaling, maturing and driving innovation across all segments of cloud networking, empowering our development teams to provision and consume cloud resources frictionlessly. In addition, you'll also:Design and build cloud-native network infrastructure that provides high levels of scalability, reliability, and performance, while balancing security, maintainability, and operational excellence.Innovate in an automation-forward and cloud-first environment, building tools and platforms that can scale our network infrastructure with the growth of our products.Interface across teams to codify and reliably test infrastructure changes using Flatiron’s software development lifecycleMaintain, support, and modernize local network infrastructure in our NY and SF officesActively participate in code and configuration reviewsCraft solid and clearly explained designs, playbooks, and documentation, for consumption by teammates and the larger engineering organizationBe proactive in performance & availability monitoring; provide remediations for systemic issuesActively participate in on-call dutiesWork as a team on escalations, resolving critical issues that impact our high SLA production systems Who You AreYou're a Cloud Network Engineer who focuses on cloud networking automation. You're excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. In addition:You have strong experience in resilient and distributed cloud network infrastructure, including VPN architecture, firewall configuration and network segmentation and routing in a cloud-native environment. You have expertise in observability platforms like Observium and Datadog, and have experience building out automated reliability and observability tooling. You are passionate for network configuration management and test-driven infrastructure automation using orchestration tools like Ansible and Terraform.You are driven towards self-service network infrastructure provisioning for frictionless developer experiences.You have experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and multi-region BC/DR cloud networkingYou have experience working with a production environment with high uptime requirements and measurable SLAsYou are familiar with container technologies such as Docker and KubernetesYou have demonstrated the ability to deliver high-quality, on-time solutions that are reliable, scalable, and maintainableYou prefer working in a dynamic environment, comfortable challenging the status quoYou believe that a team working well together is truly smarter than the single smartest person on that teamOptional:AWS Certified Advanced Networking or other AWS certificationsExperienced in AWS Transit GatewayExperienced in AWS Landing ZonePalo Alto firewall and networking expertAruba WLAN infrastructureIf this sounds like you, you'll fit right in at Flatiron.Who We AreOur people are at the centre of everything we do.
