What to do: Operate and improve virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, VCF, vCenter, OpenShift Virtualization) Design and evolve scalable, highly available infrastructure environments Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems using tools such as vROps, Prometheus, and Grafana Automate provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell Integrate AI-driven automation capabilities into operational workflows Develop and maintain runbooks, manage incidents, and ensure SLA/SLO compliance Apply security best practices, including least privilege and secure secrets management Support critical operations, including participation in on-call activities You check these boxes: Active working experience in the last 5+ years with VMware and/or OpenShift Virtualization Strong knowledge of infrastructure concepts (networking, storage, high availability, disaster recovery, backup) Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and configuration tools such as Ansible Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git) Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or vROps Familiarity with AI-driven automation or integration of AI into operational workflows Understanding of security practices such as secrets management and access control Professional proficiency in German and English Professional skills Builds reliable systems and thinks ahead about what can go wrong, making sure things keep working and improve over time. Takes ownership of work from start to finish and works closely with others to get the right outcome for the user. Keeps things simple, focuses on what matters, and removes unnecessary steps or complexity. Acts quickly on the most important work, adapts when needed, and learns from feedback.
