WMS Implementation ConsultantAbout the RoleWe are supporting a leading organisation within the logistics and supply chain sector in the recruitment of a WMS Implementation Consultant.The successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation and continuous improvement of Warehouse Management System solutions, working closely with operational, IT and technical teams throughout the full implementation lifecycle.This is a hands-on role covering requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, go-live and post-implementation support.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport end-to-end WMS implementations, ensuring the delivered solution remains aligned with initial business and operational requirements.Gather, analyse and refine business requirements for new functionality and process improvements.Define and maintain functional solution designs, requirements traceability and change requests.Act as a key link between warehouse operations, IT, development teams and other technical stakeholders.Lead and execute functional testing, integration testing and user/customer acceptance testing.Support WMS implementations through cutover, go-live and hypercare.Analyse proposed solutions, identifying functional gaps and recommending appropriate improvements.Investigate system issues and defects, supporting root cause analysis and resolution.Work closely with operational teams and process owners to understand warehouse processes and translate requirements into system solutions.Support operational teams with process discussions, system understanding and adoption.Monitor implementation progress against agreed milestones and KPIs.Coordinate priorities, decisions and activities across multiple stakeholders.Produce clear documentation and communicate project progress, risks and issues to relevant stakeholders.Skills & Experience3–5 years' experience in WMS implementation, software delivery or supply chain technology.Proven experience within logistics, warehousing or supply chain environments.Hands-on experience working with Warehouse Management Systems.Blue Yonder WMS experience would be advantageous.Experience across the WMS implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, cutover, go-live and post-go-live support.Strong understanding of warehouse processes and the interaction between operational requirements and WMS functionality.Experience analysing system issues and supporting problem resolution.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.SQL knowledge is required.Experience with Jira, Confluence and/or Xray would be advantageous.Ability to analyse large volumes of data from multiple sources and communicate findings clearly.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to manage priorities effectively within a fast-moving project environment.Comfortable working across different functions, teams and geographies.Fluent Italian and English are required.
