We're pre-launch, lean, and building something we care deeply about getting right.RoleWe're looking for a senior, hands-on frontend engineer to be our ongoing part-time frontend partner as we build toward launch. You'll take a clear-eyed look at our existing React codebase, implement our redesign and a consistent component system, and build new feature interfaces and our marketing site on top — turning complex, data-dense financial information into something that feels simple, fast, and trustworthy. You'll work from designs, and bring the judgment to make sensible UX and visual calls where direction is still forming. This is a part-time engagement — around 15-20 hours a week — that flexes with our build and can grow toward more as we approach launch.Your work• Review and tune our existing React 18 + TypeScript + Vite frontend — component structure, state management, performance, and overall code quality.• Implement our redesign and establish a consistent, reusable component system in Tailwind — working from provided designs and using good UX and visual judgment where the direction is still thin.• Build new feature interfaces on top of the app — data-dense finance screens with tables, charts, filters, detail drawers, and an audio player for briefings.• Build and maintain our public marketing website with search visibility and fast first load in mind (server-side rendering or static generation where it helps).• Integrate cleanly with our REST API using React Query — data fetching, caching, and robust loading and error states.• Keep the product consistent, responsive, and accessible as it grows, and collaborate closely with the founders (and designer).Qualifications• A strong track record shipping production React + TypeScript applications.• Fluent with Vite, React Router, and a data-fetching / caching library • Expert with Tailwind CSS and building consistent, reusable component systems, and comfortable implementing a design faithfully.• Comfortable in data-dense interfaces — tables, charts, filters, and frequently-updating data.• Good UX and visual judgment — able to make sensible design calls where direction is thin.• Experience building search-friendly marketing pages (server-rendered or statically generated) is a plus.• Able to improve an inherited codebase without unnecessary churn, and to build on top without regressions.• Excellent written and verbal English, and the ability to explain decisions and collaborate closely with founders and designer.• Reliable and self-directed at a part-time cadence, with clear communication when working asynchronously.Added benefits• Experience with fintech, market-data, or charting-heavy products.• Familiarity with design tools (e.g. Figma) for working from design files.• Comfort touching the backend edges (light Python / FastAPI) for occasional full-stack tasks.• A genuine interest in investing and financial markets.• Fluency in German.Who this role is forAn experienced, genuinely hands-on freelancer who likes ongoing, part-time ownership of a frontend on a small, founder-led team — comfortable picking up an existing codebase, implementing a redesign with enough design sense to fill the gaps, and open to growing the engagement as we scale.Location & eligibilityBased in Berlin.
