We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Modular Control Center System (MCCS) project (FPDCC product line) and help shape critical infrastructure solutions in the energy sector!⚡ Project Details & Working Conditions:· Project Period: October 26, 2026 – October 30, 2027· Allocation: 100% (Full-time)· Location: 90% Remote, approx. 10% onsite in Berlin· Seniority Level: Senior· Language: English is mandatory💡 The Role & Responsibilities:· Drive the further development of Wide-Area Monitoring Applications (including Advanced Monitoring, Load Frequency Control, and Power Quality).· Analyze and adapt third-party open-source modules, including making active contributions back to the open-source community.· Design, architect, and develop brand-new modules.· Adapt deployment processes to align with Elia's new infrastructure requirements.📌 Must-Have Qualifications: (Each must be evidenced by personal project references)· A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, a related field, or demonstrable equivalent professional experience.· At least 5 years of experience developing IT solutions in line with enterprise IT strategies and standards.· Python: Strong application development skills using FastAPI, Kafka, and Helm Charts.· .NET: Solid experience in .NET application development with .NET 8+, EF Core, TDD, async programming, REST APIs, and authentication/authorisation architectures.· Proven experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).🌟 Nice-to-Have Skills:· Familiarity with Kubernetes, Argo CD, Protobuf, Pydantic, and Grafana.· An academic or professional background in electrical engineering.· Experience working with transmission system operators (TSOs) or comparable energy infrastructure companies.· Knowledge of SCADA, PMU, PQ, protection, or fault record data.
