We are supporting a fast-scaling semiconductor company developing next-generation networking and security technology. They are looking to appoint a Lead FPGA Engineer to take ownership of the FPGA architecture, technical direction, and long-term development of a growing digital design team.This is a leadership role for an experienced FPGA engineer who still enjoys remaining hands-on. You’ll define FPGA architectures, lead implementation across multiple projects, and work closely with hardware, software, and product teams to deliver high-performance, secure hardware platforms. Alongside the technical responsibilities, you’ll mentor engineers, establish best practices, and help shape the future growth of the FPGA function.The role will involve defining system architectures, overseeing RTL development, driving timing closure strategies, supporting hardware/software integration, and leading design reviews through to successful product delivery. You’ll also play a key role in recruitment, technical mentoring, and continuously improving engineering processes.They are looking for a Lead FPGA Engineer with the following background:10+ years of FPGA development experienceStrong RTL development using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilogProven experience leading FPGA teams or major technical projectsExpertise with Xilinx FPGA devices and the Vivado toolchainExperience with PCIe, high-speed SerDes, networking, or memory interfacesStrong understanding of system-level timing closure and hardware/software integrationExcellent communication and technical leadership skillsExperience developing networking, cybersecurity, or high-performance SoC platforms would be highly advantageous.If you’re interested in the position of Lead FPGA Engineer, please apply or contact Sam Cruse at IC Resources.
