This is a hands-on role focused on measurable results: conversion, revenue, and a shopping experience worthy of a luxury brand.Own the Shopify StoreOwn the performance and continuous improvement of our Shopify (Plus) store as the primary revenue channelEnsure a flawless mobile experience, where the majority of our traffic converts Manage the store's tech stack and apps, and steer an external development agency - challenging their scope, quality, and timelinesConversion Rate Optimization (CRO)Drive CRO through ongoing improvements to site structure, navigation, product pages, and checkout flowRun structured A/B tests: form clear hypotheses, set them up cleanly, and judge results by statistical significance Use funnel analysis, session replays, and heatmaps to find and fix drop-offsAnalytics and ReportingTrack, analyze, and report on e-commerce KPIs (CVR, AOV, revenue per visitor, add-to-cart rate, checkout completion)Diagnose performance issues directly from the data (e.g. a sudden drop in mobile checkout) and turn insight into actionMerchandising and TradingOwn on-site merchandising: collection structure, product sorting, search and filter logic, cross- and upsellingPlan and execute product launches, campaigns, and seasonal peaks on-site to actively drive revenueBrand Stewardship On-SiteEnsure the storefront always reflects the luxury positioning of the brand - visually and editoriallyBalance e-commerce best practice with brand integrityCross-Functional CollaborationWork with marketing on traffic quality, landing pages, and campaign coordinationWork with operations and retail on product availability, product data, and a consistent experience across our online store and our shop-in-shops at KaDeWe and BreuningerAbout You4+ years experience in D2C e-commerce, ideally with direct ownership of an online storefrontProven experience managing a Shopify store (Shopify Plus a plus), including working with developers or agencies on UX, CRO, and technical improvementsStrong analytical skills: confident in GA4 and Shopify analytics, funnel analysis, and A/B testingA track record of CRO work that moved real metricsOn-site merchandising / trading experienceComfortable steering agency and freelancer relationships — able to challenge their work, not just manage itLuxury or premium sensibility; experience with a 35+ / high-net-worth demographic is a plusHands-on, self-directed, and comfortable with ambiguity in a small teamEnthusiasm for working with AI tools (Anthropic) to automate and improve day-to-day workAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, small-team environmentFluent in German and EnglishReports directly to one of the foundersInterested?
