You'll work closely with a Data Platform Engineer, report directly to the Head of Data, and have a real voice in where the data platform goes next.Your missionSet the standard for how every PostgreSQL database in the firm is backed up, restored, secured and monitored, and prove it works under regulatory scrutiny.Keep high-volume, latency-sensitive workloads fast as the firm builds more on them, from query plans to replication and failover.Build a self-service PostgreSQL platform that development teams can rely on without needing a database expert in the room.Become the go-to advisor on database design, coaching engineers and shaping the firm's cloud direction.You'll thrive here if you haveSeveral years of hands-on PostgreSQL experience in production, with a solid grasp of how the engine works under the hood.A track record of designing recovery strategies and actually testing them, not just writing them down.A habit of automating everything: infrastructure as code, Git and CI/CD are second nature.The confidence to own a domain on your own, and the communication skills to explain database trade-offs to developers, quants and traders alike.Extra points for: experience with time-series data, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, Redis or MongoDB, or a background in financial services or another regulated environment.What's in it for youA base salary of €110K plus a very generous bonus scheme, a role where you build something lasting from day one, and an informal, international culture with short decision lines and lots of autonomy.Ready to build the data foundation of a trading firm?
