Willingness to travel to ParmaAbout UsThe Elmo Rietschle ETO Systems Division designs, manufactures, and markets Engineer-to-Order (ETO) industrial systems for vacuum and low-pressure applications, extending and complementing the standard Elmo Rietschle product portfolio.These systems typically consist of one or more vacuum pumps and/or low-pressure compressors mounted on skid frames and integrated with filtration units, instrumentation, monitoring and control devices, and electrical control panels. Each solution is specifically engineered to meet customer requirements while ensuring reliable, efficient, and fully integrated operation.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Project & Systems Engineer to support our business growth through technical documentation, product certification, control system definition, and technical support activities across the product lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain standard technical documentation, including operating manuals, datasheets, calculations, P&IDs, inspection and test reports, spare parts lists, and other project-related documentation.Develop and maintain risk assessment documentation and technical files to support the CE marking process, in collaboration with external consultants as required.Define main control panel technical specifications and develop control system philosophies and functional logic requirements.Provide post-market technical support, including troubleshooting, warranty claim management, root cause analysis, and preparation of 8D reports.Deliver cross-functional engineering support to ensure the successful execution, timely progress, and completion of awarded projects.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering. Technical diplomas with relevant professional experience will also be considered.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial vacuum or pressure applications, process industries, oil & gas, or similar sectors, in roles such as Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, Design Engineer, Order Engineer, or equivalent.Hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing technical documentation, datasheets, manuals, and technical reports.Basic knowledge of CE marking requirements, risk assessment methodologies, and technical file preparation.Basic knowledge of industrial automation, electrical control panels, electrical schematics, electric motors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, basic knowledge of PLM/ERP systems such as Windchill and SAP.Basic knowledge of 2D/3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred) is considered an advantage.Good command of English, both written and spoken.Additional language skills, particularly French, German, or Spanish, will be considered a plus.Travel & Work Arrangements/RequirementsPrimarily office-based in Vignate, with hybrid working options available.Regular travel to the Parma plant required (typically once per week).Access to a company pool car for business-related travel.Key CompetenciesAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsEffective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate technical documentation.Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team objectives.What We OfferWe offer the opportunity to work in an international and multicultural environment, where every project brings new technical challenges and learning opportunities.
