You will work closely with domain architects, senior developers, AI specialists, business stakeholders and management to define and develop a future-proof architecture.A major part of the assignment will involve shaping the organisation’s AI architecture, including AI platforms, LLMs, RAG solutions, knowledge management, AI governance and responsible AI adoption.ResponsibilitiesDefine and develop solution architecture across a complex enterprise environment.Help shape the organisation’s future AI architecture and AI platform strategy.Design architecture for LLMs, RAG solutions and Generative AI applications.Support the implementation of AI solutions within existing business and IT processes.Ensure AI solutions meet architecture, privacy, security and regulatory requirements.Design solutions that are transparent, explainable, auditable and maintain appropriate human-in-the-loop controls.Define architecture principles, standards and technical design decisions.Work closely with domain architects, engineering teams, AI specialists and senior stakeholders.Advise management on architecture direction, technical standards and system landscape development.Support API integrations and event-driven architecture.Contribute to information architecture, metadata management, knowledge management and semantic models.Ensure alignment with relevant frameworks and regulations including AVG/GDPR, BIO and the EU AI Act.RequirementsMinimum 5 years’ experience as a Solution Architect.Strong experience with enterprise and solution architecture.Knowledge of architecture frameworks including TOGAF and NORA.Strong experience with ArchiMate.Experience using Bizzdesign.Proven experience designing and implementing AI, Machine Learning or Generative AI solutions.Experience with LLMs, RAG architectures and AI platforms.Experience working within government or another large, complex organisation.Strong understanding of AI governance, model governance and algorithm registers.Knowledge of AVG/GDPR, BIO and the EU AI Act.Experience with API architecture, integrations and event-driven architecture.Knowledge of information architecture, metadata and knowledge management.Experience with semantic models, taxonomies and search technologies supporting RAG and AI solutions.Experience integrating AI solutions into existing complex enterprise landscapes.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.HBO / Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent professional experience.Fluent Dutch communication skills.Engagement ConditionsThis assignment is available only to professionals who are employed by the supplying organisation.Self-employed / ZZP consultants being supplied through an intermediary are not permitted.VOG required (can be arranged upon offer).
