The role focuses on building and enhancing backend services using .NET Core and microservices, optimising databases, integrating with external partners, and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions in a modern Agile environment. Responsibilities • Design and implement new backend functionalities in .NET Core • Develop and maintain microservices • Integrate backend services with external partners • Implement and develop content search capabilities • Create and optimise database queries in SQL Server and Cosmos DB • Participate in requirement analysis, backlog refinements and sprint planning • Maintain code quality through unit testing and code reviews • Follow backend engineering best practices • Support API documentation and technical documentation where needed Requirements • Minimum 5 years of commercial backend development experience • Strong .NET Core and C# experience • Experience creating and optimising queries in SQL Server • Experience with microservices architecture • Experience with messaging systems such as Azure Service Bus, Event Hub, Kafka or MQ • Experience working in Agile delivery teams • Ability to analyse requirements and work with Product Owners • English at a level enabling business communication Nice to have • Experience with search engines, preferably Azure AI Search, or alternatives such as ElasticSearch • Experience with Azure Cosmos DB or other NoSQL databases such as MongoDB • Experience building cloud applications in Azure • Experience with App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, Application Insights or Log Analytics • Experience creating API documentation using Swagger or OpenAPI • Experience building backend services for mobile applications • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or similar Benefits • Solid, competitive salary • Work in a multinational environment on international projects • Comprehensive healthcare • Long-term B2B contract with a stable project pipeline
