We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join a long-term enterprise development project. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern Java-based backend applications, building scalable microservices, and delivering high-quality, reliable software in a collaborative Agile environment.Details:Location: Prague, 2 times onsite/weekStart Date: ASAPContract Type: B2BLanguage: EnglishResponsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications following software engineering best practices.Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and testable code.Design and implement REST APIs and microservices.Perform code reviews and contribute to maintaining high coding standards.Develop unit and integration tests.Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues throughout the application lifecycle.Support application deployments, production monitoring, and incident resolution.Collaborate closely with developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.Participate in continuous improvement of development processes and technical solutions.Requirements:Strong commercial experience with Java.Solid experience with Spring Boot.Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.Experience with JPA/Hibernate and relational databases (MySQL).Experience with message brokers (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.Experience writing unit and integration tests.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.Nice to Have:Experience with event-driven architecture.Experience working on cloud-native applications.Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.Experience with financial or enterprise-scale systems.
