EU-based | Hybrid, Amsterdam / Prague | Salary + equityWe are building a secure industrial intelligence platform designed to help European strategic industries understand their supply chains, identify emerging disruptions and make better operational decisions. The platform will combine industrial data, supply-chain graphs, external intelligence, analytical models and AI-assisted workflows within a secure, permission-controlled environment. Its purpose is not to create another enterprise dashboard or generic AI assistant. It is to build an operational intelligence layer for some of Europe’s most important industrial ecosystems. We are looking for a Principal Engineer to adopt a technical co-ownership of the platform and help build it from its present foundations into a production-grade system. This is a hands-on founding role for someone who can move between architecture, code, product decisions and direct engagement with industrial users. What you will doDefine the core technical architecture of our platform.Build a secure, scalable and multi-tenant data environment.Design systems for ingesting BOMs, supplier data, ERP exports and external intelligence feeds.Help develop the industrial ontology and supply-chain knowledge graph.Build workflows connecting intelligence events to affected companies, products, sites and inputs.Integrate AI models through controlled, explainable and auditable workflows.Establish engineering standards, development processes and security principles.Work directly with founders, industrial partners and domain experts.Help recruit and lead the wider engineering team. What we are looking forYou are likely a senior, staff or principal-level engineer who has built complex data-intensive platforms, enterprise systems or mission-critical software. You should bring strong experience in several of the following areas:Backend and platform engineering.Distributed systems and data-intensive architecture.Python and at least one additional production backend ecosystem.PostgreSQL, graph databases or knowledge-graph technologies.Enterprise data integration, APIs and asynchronous processing.Cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud.Identity, permissions, auditability and secure multi-tenancy.Applied AI, tool calling, structured outputs or production LLM workflows.Entity resolution, data lineage and temporal data modelling.Experience with industrial software, ERP systems, supply-chain platforms, defence, critical infrastructure or regulated environments would be highly valuable. We are particularly interested in engineers with backgrounds resembling:Forward-deployed engineering.Enterprise data-platform architecture.Knowledge-graph or ontology engineering.Industrial data integration.Secure AI platform development. The kind of person who will succeedYou are comfortable working with incomplete information and turning difficult operational problems into functioning software. You care about provenance, permissions, explainability and system integrity. You understand that an AI model is only one component of a serious operational platform. You can make pragmatic architectural decisions without compromising the foundations required for future scale. Most importantly, you want to help build something consequential from an early stage and have a meaningful influence over both the technology and the company. What we offerA founding technical role with substantial influence over the platform.Salary plus equity.A flexible hybrid arrangement within the EU.Direct exposure to leading industrial, technology and policy stakeholders. The opportunity to build a new category of European industrial intelligence infrastructure. To apply, send us a short introduction, your LinkedIn profile or CV, and examples of systems you have designed or built. We are more interested in the complexity of the problems you have solved than in the prestige of your previous job titles.Sourced from LinkedIn.
