Research teams are small by design, typically seven to twelve people, and researchers own their strategies from idea through to production. The firm is well established across multiple asset classes and is expanding its mid-frequency research capability.The roleYou will generate and run intraday alpha end to end. The horizon is genuinely mid-frequency, from minutes out to a day, occasionally longer. This is not a case of taking existing high-frequency signals and extending them; the firm is looking for researchers who have worked longer-horizon signals natively.Responsibilities:Research, build, and productionise new intraday trading strategiesOwn the full research lifecycle, from hypothesis and data work through backtesting, implementation, and live monitoringWork directly with your team lead on strategy direction and capital allocationThe specific team and asset coverage are discussed with candidates at first interview.RequirementsDemonstrable mid-frequency research experience, with the most recent three years in MFTA track record you can speak to, including annual return on capitalStrong coding ability in Python or C++Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, or equivalent research backgroundBased in Amsterdam or willing to relocatePrior experience across other horizons or asset classes is fine. What matters is that recent work has been mid-frequency and that you have owned strategies front to back rather than a single slice of the lifecycle.LocationAmsterdam. Onboarding is on site and the firm expects the first period to be spent in the office. After around twelve to eighteen months there is genuine flexibility to relocate and work remotely.CompensationBase salary is negotiated individually; there are no fixed bands. Profit share on your strategies begins in year two as a defined percentage, agreed with your team lead. Buyouts and guarantees are on the table.
