A challenging role in which your technical insight, independence and proactive attitude directly contribute to the success of advanced space projects.Your responsibilitiesMonitoring and controlling quality processes during the production, assembly, integration and testing of high-grade technical components.Identifying, analysing and following up on quality deviations (non-conformities), working with Engineering, Production and suppliers to achieve structural solutions.Carrying out quality inspections on incoming supplier products, production parts and end products, including the assessment of technical drawings and quality documentation.Coordinating and participating in quality reviews, including Manufacturing Reviews and Test Reviews, and ensuring that quality reports are recorded correctly.Monitoring supplier quality, initiating process improvements and actively intervening when production processes do not meet the required quality standards.As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring and continuously improving product and process quality within a high-grade technical production environment. It is precisely the combination of high-grade engineering and a practical, hands-on way of working that makes this organisation interesting for quality professionals with a background in, for example, automotive, the high-tech manufacturing industry or aerospace.Your profileYou are an independent Quality Assurance Engineer with strong communication skills who feels at home in a complex technical production environment. You look critically at processes, take responsibility and know how to bring various stakeholders along in solving quality issues.You hold a completed technical education at upper vocational (MBO+) / university of applied sciences (HBO) level, for example Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering & Management or similar.You have approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering or quality control in a technical production environment.You have experience assessing technical drawings, production processes and quality documentation, and analysing and following up on deviations.You are proactive, communicative and collaborate easily with various disciplines, including Engineering, Production and suppliers.You live approximately 45 minutes' travel time from the work location in the Leiden region and are available on site at least three days per week.Experience in the automotive industry is a strong plus because of its high quality standards and structured production processes.
