Build AI solutions that actually make it into production.What if your next AI engineering role wasn't about building models in isolation but about taking AI into real organisations, solving difficult problems, and seeing your work used in the real world?We're looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer who can combine strong software and ML engineering with the ability to work directly with clients.You'll join a small, ambitious AI team working with corporates, Mittelstand businesses, scale-ups, NGOs and public-sector organisations to turn ambitious ideas into working AI products.This is a role for someone who enjoys both the terminal and the boardroom.What you'll doYou'll work directly with clients and your engineering squad to take AI projects from an early idea through to a production-ready MVP.Your work will include:Building and orchestrating AI agents to accelerate software and AI developmentDesigning and delivering AI proofs of concept and production-ready MVPsDeveloping data pipelines and ML workflowsTraining, deploying and monitoring machine-learning modelsBuilding and deploying web services and applications in the cloudWorking with technologies such as Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure and modern ML frameworksIntegrating solutions with existing client systems and infrastructureTranslating ambiguous business problems into practical technical solutionsWorking closely with clients, helping them understand what's possible with modern AITaking ownership of projects and making decisions without waiting for layers of approvalOne week you might be turning a messy business problem into an AI prototype. The next, you could be deploying it into a client's production environment.You won't be handed a playbook. You'll help write it.What we're looking forStrong engineering fundamentals3+ years' professional experience building scalable, production-grade softwareStrong Python and SQL skillsPractical experience with machine learning in productionExperience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learnExperience building, deploying and maintaining ML modelsExperience with cloud platforms — Azure is preferredExperience with web services and applicationsFamiliarity with PostgreSQLStrong software engineering practices and an instinct for clean, maintainable codeAI-native mindsetWe're particularly interested in engineers who are already changing how they work because of AI.You might be:Running multiple AI coding agents in parallelUsing tools such as Claude Code or similar agentic development environmentsDesigning evaluations to measure whether AI systems actually workGiving agents time to work independently while you focus on architecture, review and directionThinking in terms of specifications, evaluation and orchestration, rather than simply writing every line yourselfYou don't need to have followed a particular methodology.
