They're now extending that work to one of the hardest emerging problems in online systems: trust among AI agents.Founded and backed by world's largest investment groups, they are now pushing into a new frontier: connecting decentralised identity systems with AI-driven applications.Role Overview:You’ll join as a Director of Engineering, leading a ~25 person organisation (including staff engineers and engineering managers), driving the delivery of complex, AI-enabled products that connect decentralised systems with real-world applications in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.Key Responsibilities:Lead engineering teams delivering complex, AI-driven products operating at the intersection of distributed systems, identity, and emerging agent-based architecturesDrive end-to-end delivery of various initiatives - from early experimentation and proof of concept through to production launchWork closely with product and leadership to define scope, navigate uncertainty, and make critical trade-offs between speed, quality, and technical complexityEnable the development of systems that integrate AI agents into secure, governed environments - ensuring reliability, traceability, and controlShape how cross-functional teams are formed and restructured to support fast-moving, innovation-heavy delivery cyclesLead and develop engineering teams including staff engineers and engineering managers.Qualifications:Strong foundation in software engineering before moving into leadership rolesExperience managing teams that include engineering managers as well as senior individual contributorsProven track record delivering complex systems end-to-end, from early-stage concepts through to productionSolid backend engineering background with exposure to distributed or platform systemsAbility to operate effectively in highly ambiguous, fast-changing environmentsExperience working across multiple product or technical domains simultaneouslyStrong technical judgment, with the ability to engage in architectural and delivery discussionsDemonstrated ability to balance hands-on technical understanding with people leadershipIf you’re excited by the challenge of leading teams at the cutting edge of AI and decentralised systems - building products that enable trusted interactions between intelligent agents and real-world services - we’d love to hear from you.
