Are you an experienced cloud security professional who knows how to turn complex risks into practical, secure solutions? For a large financial organization, we are looking for a Cloud Security Specialist to strengthen the security of cloud services, AWS workloads, and SaaS platforms.In this role, you will work closely with engineering, architecture, platform, workload, and risk teams. You will review cloud designs, perform threat modelling, advise teams on security controls, and help improve the organization’s overall cloud security posture.Your responsibilitiesOrganize and lead cloud security meetups with AWS workload teams.Provide security-by-design advice for new and existing AWS workloads.Review solution intents and security architectures for AWS services and SaaS platforms.Support cloud security compliance assessments.Deliver operational cloud security advice to workload and AWS cloud teams.Facilitate threat-modelling exercises and recommend effective mitigating controls.Work with engineering and platform teams to address vulnerabilities and security gaps.Review Cloud Security Posture Management findings and help improve cloud visibility, governance, and control.Contribute to cloud governance initiatives and the continuous improvement of security standards and practices.What you bringA bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native environments.Experience securing AI services and platforms, preferably Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker.Experience integrating AWS services with third-party platforms.Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and Cloud Security Posture Management.Experience with container, API, and CI/CD pipeline security.Python scripting experience within AWS environments, including AWS Lambda.A strong analytical mindset and experience assessing security risks.The confidence to challenge teams constructively while maintaining strong working relationships.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication, stakeholder-management, and interpersonal skills.The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Contract detailsContract type: secondment (12 months with possible extension)Location AmsterdamWorking model: hybrid, with three office days per week
