This platform is a safety critical real-time hard- and software platform for the railway domain certified for the highest safety integrity level. It consists of the operating system, security services, a safe middleware providing fault tolerance and safe communication, and hardware components.The Dependable Systems team focuses on the evolution and development of the safe middleware of TAS Platform and the evaluation of new technologies.Join us now at Hitachi Rail in Austria!YOUR CHALLENGESoftware development with the focus on safety, real-time and security in the railway domainDesign and implementation for distributed systems and related protocolsAnalyzing of complex systemsParticipating in technical architecture and design workshopsWriting design papersDevelopment, integration and verification of our technical functions and solutionsWork in distributed teamsWork in an agile team with standardized processes (quality, safety, security)YOUR PROFILEA completed education (HTL, FH, University) in Informatics, Electrical Engineering or similarExperienced knowledge in C, knowledge in C++ is beneficialKnowledge in embedded real-time systems used for safety and security related applicationsGood knowledge of LINUX OS and development environmentUnderstanding of distributed consensus protocols and virtualized systemsKnowledge of gitGood communication skills for working in distributed teamsThinking analytically is a strengthFluency in English language, fluency in German is beneficialWorking in a team using agile methodsWE OFFERThe salary for this position starts at € 50.000 gross p.a.
