Systems Engineer – Prop TradingQuant Capital is urgently looking for a Trading Systems Engineer to join a high profile trading firm in London.We are looking for engineers who can be responsible for designing and supporting highly available systems across a diverse technology stack.You will join a small global team who are focused on a new part of the business around trading various assets – it is therefore paramount to have good communication as you will in a close working environment virtually across the globe.The Systems Engineer Engineer will be providing consistent, high performing, stable infrastructure for trading desks, developers, and other internal teams You should take pride in enabling traders and engineers to run their applications at the bleeding edge.Required Skills & Experience: Experience supporting mission critical systems and high performance applicationsMinimum of 5 years working in trade support, site reliability engineeringBachelor’s degree in STEM or related fieldThrives in high-pressure situations while working alongside traders, developers and other engineering teamsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressureKnowledge of Linux/Unix environmentsExperience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation tasksAbility to devise complex SQL database queries and updatesKnowledge of networking fundamentals (multicast, TCP, routing)The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions.
