Since our IPO in 2021, our global team of 550+ colleagues is united by a shared mission: shaping the future of play, learning, and imagination.You as part of tonies:As Senior Software Engineer you are responsible for developing and maintaining the Manufacturing Data Platform, the central system orchestrating data exchange between internal systems and manufacturing operations. This role is critical for ensuring seamless data flow across all production systems and maintaining 24/7 operational reliability.Your tasks and responsibilities will include:Design and implement robust data exchange pipelines between manufacturing systemsDevelop and maintain core manufacturing database features and integrationsDevelop and maintain system monitoring and observability solutionsEnsure ERP synchronization and accurate data flow across manufacturing systemsSupport integration with data analytics platforms and historical data migrationOptimize system performance and reliability, ensuring 24/7 operational uptimeProvide technical consultation on data-related topics and system integrationsWhat we are looking for:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field7+ years of software development experience with a focus on Python/DjangoExtensive experience with AWS services and cloud architectureExpertise in data modeling, analytics system design, and data warehousingProven track record in designing and implementing large-scale applicationsStrong background in building and maintaining data integration pipelinesFamiliarity with GitLab and modern DevOps practicesExperience working in Agile development environmentsIn-depth understanding of data processing and system integration patternsProven ability to deliver reliable, scalable production systemsSKILLS:Expert-level proficiency in Python development with extensive Django framework experienceStrong experience architecting and implementing large-scale distributed applicationsAdvanced knowledge of AWS, with hands-on experience in deploying to ECS and EC2Expertise in data modeling, schema design, database optimization, and analytics solutions designSkilled in building and maintaining data integration and ETL pipelinesExperience with business intelligence tools, analytics platforms, and data warehousing solutionsStrong understanding of observability solutions, including system monitoring, logging, alerting, telemetry, and distributed tracingProficient in CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab workflowsStrong system design and architectural planning skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical abilitiesEffective communicator for cross-team collaborationWhy tonies?Global Teamwork: We collaborate across departmental and country borders.
