You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to transform requirements into scalable AI-powered capabilities.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys building practical AI systems that deliver measurable value in production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, test, and improve AI systems that support core product functionality.Develop AI workflows, model integrations, evaluation frameworks, and production-ready services.Integrate large language models, multimodal models, and AI services into backend systems and user-facing products.Improve AI system reliability, accuracy, latency, robustness, and scalability.Design and maintain evaluation workflows for AI outputs across multiple use cases.Test AI capabilities against real-world scenarios and operational requirements.Identify uncertainty, edge cases, failure modes, and inconsistent model behaviour.Develop validation and quality-control layers that improve AI output reliability.Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver AI-driven features and capabilities.Contribute to monitoring, observability, logging, testing, documentation, and operational excellence.Analyse feedback and evaluation results to continuously improve system performance.Document workflows, assumptions, limitations, and known risks clearly and effectively.What We're Looking ForExperience in AI engineering, applied machine learning, software engineering, backend engineering, or a related field.Strong Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals.Experience working with large language models, multimodal models, AI APIs, or model-driven systems.Practical understanding of building, testing, and deploying AI-enabled workflows.Ability to reason about AI behaviour, including uncertainty, hallucinations, reliability, and failure modes.Experience integrating AI capabilities into backend services and production applications.Familiarity with evaluation methodologies, benchmarking, testing frameworks, or quality assurance processes for AI systems.Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.Excellent attention to detail and comfort working with complex systems.Strong communication skills and a willingness to document technical decisions and trade-offs.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Nice to HaveExperience with multimodal AI systems, vision-language models, or complex data processing workflows.Experience in computer vision, video understanding, image analysis, or related AI disciplines.Familiarity with retrieval systems, structured outputs, AI observability, or evaluation pipelines.Experience building benchmark datasets, scoring frameworks, or model evaluation tooling.Experience with human-in-the-loop workflows or expert feedback systems.Familiarity with MLOps, model deployment, and AI infrastructure.Experience working in regulated, safety-critical, or high-trust industries.Interest in applying AI to solve complex real-world operational challenges.
